Length: 7:80
Description: SEA LIFE™ Aquarium at LEGOLAND® California Resort officially opened its doors August 11th, making it the first SEA LIFE Aquarium in the United States and the first to incorporate LEGO® models - 72 to be exact. Three grand prize winners of the Aquarium's recent Save Our Seas poster project helped actor Cristian de la Fuente and LEGOLAND California Resort President John Jakobsen cut the kelp ribbon with LEGO scissors at the grand opening ceremony. Jakobsen presented him with a check for five-thousand dollars for Natural Resources Defense Council on behalf of SEA LIFE Aquarium's S.O.S. campaign. Guests exploring the 36,000 square-foot, two-story Aquarium discovered 36 displays holding more than 250,000 gallons of water. Key features include the Lost City of Atlantis ocean display, the Discovery Zone Touch Pool, a Shoaling Ring, where guests are surrounded 360 degrees by schools of swimming fish; Kingdom of the Seahorses and the Ray Lagoon. Key creatures include sharks, rays, jellyfish, seahorses, an octopus and several species of freshwater fish which can be found in California lakes and streams.
