Description: Born in Los Angeles and now residing in Phoenix, mural artist Mac is displaying works of art that he created exclusively for Denver Botanic Gardens' 2008 signature exhibition "Urban Nature."
Drawing inspiration from the surrounding Mexican and Chicano culture of the American Southwest, religious art, pin-up art, graffiti and a wide range of artists including Caravaggio, Mucha, Vermeer and Moebius, Mac has been commissioned to paint murals across the U.S., as well as in Canada, Mexico, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium and France.
While working on his new creations in Denver, Mac says that all good art is inspired by nature, and that Urban Nature is all about finding the beauty in everything.
