Description: UPDATE March 2008: Postal applications are now being accepted again, so the queues are apparently much shorter now.
Queues start at about 6:30 each morning. This video was made on 26 September 2007 at about 11:50 - just minutes before the clerk behind the little window closed for the day at noon.
I watched as the clerk issued a ticket to a man who would be the very last customer of the day - and watched the same clerk close the window in the face of that man's girlfriend who was immediately next in line. She'd been waiting since 9:30.
Of course, this whole queue is just to get a numbered ticket to join another queue..
On top of the ususal rush, the Indian High Commission in London has recently stopped accepting postal visa applications, so expect more of the same in the future!
