PARIS FRANCE, Dec. 8-18, 2007: 3D Chat Artist Colin James McKinlay vacations 10 full days just across the River Seine from the Louvre and da Vinci's Mona Lisa (la Joconde).
"I have da closest hotel room to the Mona Lisa in da world!"
"And...its former tenants were Voltaire, Oscar Wilde, Richard Wagner, and Baudelaire!"
However, McKinlay soon discovered he shared his strange Mona Lisa proximity with probably the most famous Frenchman in France (ex President of the Republic of France Jacques Chirac), as well as with some homeless guy.
So, Colin went to the Louvre to stake his claim to la Joconde (the Mona Lisa).
"See? My hotel room is right across da River from da Mona Lisa! You're mine, Mona! All mine -- hee hee!"
But, what about that homeless guy sleeping in a construction site?
And, whose residence are those two gendarmes protecting?
"President Jacques Chirac? Ex-President of the Republic of France JACQUES CHIRAC !?!"
"Oh, Mona... my Little Mona!"
"I can tell you, Leonardo da Vinci and the Mona Lisa are not the same person (a current theory)-- after all, did Leonardo put on make-up and dress up in drag and stand in a mirror and paint himself? -- I doubt that! Truth be it known, artists features are often reflected in the portraits of others that they produce, so familiar are they with their own anatomy as they see it in the mirror every day.
