Description: This is Gladstone Pottery here in the City of Stoke on Trent Staffordshire England. This is just a glimpse of how we used to make pottery, but don't think for on second that it was as clean as this Gladstone Pottery Museum is. The air at one time was filled with the thick black coal dust smoke. The city has now lost most of it's Pottery Industry to a distant land. I used to say years ago we will end up with just a couple of factories oh how they would laugh. but l could see the writing was on the wall. the Pottery folk will rise above this and rise from the ashes like the phoenix did. i hope you enjoy the photos that l took in spring of 2007
