Description: Sometimes, when you least expect it, you can get a rude awakening in Japan....a rude culinary awakening. Sometimes, what looks familiar in a local restaurant or bakery is actually more than meets the eyes.
I myself have fallen victim to Japanese fish egg bead. The fish eggs look like some sort of strawberry icing....but they aren't. I wasn't willing to reenact the event for camera, but hopefully you'll get the gist!
A little bit about my marathon training as well. I'm getting ready for the Osaka Yodogawa Marathon, the first weekend of November!
