DC Metro Length: 0:41
Description: DC Metro's antiquidated system. I think this was L'Enfant station. Stations are spacious and airy which is about the only good trait.
Line changes are NOT cross platform changes! You have have to change levels within the station for a line change!!! There is no cell reception underground except for Verizon.
The inside of the trains are old, antiquidated, dirty, and many are in need of repair.
Aside from the operators voice broadcast, there is no way to tell what station you have arrived at (or going to arrive at) without looking out the window.
There is no notification other thant the train operator broadcast of which side the doors will open.
Most of the time the speakers are marginally functional.
they really need to update the system to modern standards and to have better information systems inside the train. they really need to have standardized recorded broadcasts.
