Brimingham & Fazeley Canal - Salford Junction South Length: 4:0
Description: Salford Junction South is at the junction of the Birmingham Canal Navigations (Birmingham and Fazeley Canal -- Main Line) and the Grand Union Canal (Birmingham and Warwick Junction Canal)
Seeing no way to steer 67 foot of narrowboat around a 120 degree left hand turn we went straight for the far bank and winded the boat round.
With its elegant cast iron foot bridge this would be a really nice junction if some bugger hadn't built a motorway over it and the great unwashed of Brum hadn't coated every last square inch with graffiti.
The large green building on the left towards the end of the video is a fairly new mega multiplex cinema. We were amused to see that British Waterways had built extensive, new visitor moorings for this complex and wondered just how many of its patrons would travel to the cinema by canal.
