Plenty of lava spraying up and lots of smoke and ash. In this preview clip from the Angry Planet TV series, George Kourounis rappels into the crater of the erupting Yasur volcano on Tanna Island in Vanuatu. Every few minutes the volcano explodes, sending huge glowing lava bombs flying through the air.

Yasur volcano has great significance for the kustom and Jon Frum people of Tanna. Yasur volcano is constantly changing. Following cyclone Uma in 1986 the lake (Siwi) appeared and the volcano was marked by a constant dense plume that settled across the island and burnt the vegetation.
