Udaipur was the capital of the Rajput kingdom of Mewar, ruled by Ranawats of the Sisodia clan. Founder of Udaipur was Rana Udai Singh. Udaipur is famous as the City Of Lakes or Venice of The East. The Pichola Lake, Fateh Sagar, Udai Sagar and Swaroop Sagar in this city are considered some of the most beautiful lakes in the state (Wikipedia).

You will see a part of a puppet show like it was presented in the museum Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal at Udaipur. This museum for folk art is very amusing and has a beautiful collection of traditonal clothing, ornaments, puppets, masks, musical instruments, paintings and so on.
