On August 6, 2007, the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) placed 2 retired and preserved PCC (Presidents' Conference Committee) streetcars in revenue service on the Route 509 Harbourfront-Queens Quay route. While most North American cities gutted their streetcar systems, Toronto retained most of its streetcar routes.... more
