Travel Videos 365 - BETA version 1.02

This is a movie of my trip to William Faulkner's Home, called Rowan Oak. In Oxford, Mississippi, it is operated and cared for by Ole Miss. Almost everything is original, as the house has only been owned by William Faulkner's wife and daughter since his death. It is an excellent tour, one I strongly suggest to anyone nearby or interested in Faulkner's work.

In an English country garden, the foxglove, a wild flower and source of the drug, digitalis, will seed itself, brought in by the birds. This was recorded in the garden of the house where I live, in Market Harborough.

Author William Faulkner named his home "Rowan Oak" after the Celtic legend of the rowan tree, believed to harbor powers of safety and protection. Rowan Oak is open to visitors 10 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday and 1 to 4 on Sunday.

During a recent Australian tour that I did, we had the opportunity of trying out an Aboriginal delicacy, which Rowan from Coffs Harbour will now demonstrate.
