Travel Videos 365 - BETA version 1.02

A segment of a visit to Wales in 2003, this is the location of 60's TV series 'The Prisoner', which starred Patrick McGoohan.

I was in the vicinity of Portmeirion so took a quick wander round The Village. Video shot with shaky cam mobile phone.

Inspired by Catherine Nemeth Frumerman's book, On The Trail Of The Prisoner, I recorded this guide to Portmeirion's Prisoner filming locations while staying in Portmeirion. Shot in 1966 and 1967, this classic series made good use of the quirky architecture of the unusual hotel as 'The Village'.

We took a 6 day journey up the Amazon River in Brasil on a ferry boat, that ended up feeling like a floating prisoner of war camp!

In April 2006 I took part in a walk around The Prisoner locations in London, hosted by Dave Lally of the London Prisoner group. These are the best bits of an interesting, but wet day.

Portmeirion village in North Wales was the location for Patrick McGoohan's 1960s cult TV series The Prisoner. But Clough Williams Ellis' miniature architectural masterpiece is still there and more beautiful than ever.
