For a few weeks this winter, one could drive the 2 miles across the Lake Superior Ice between Bayfield and Madeline Island. My trusty dash cam caught the ride on March 8, 2008

I wish I could have spent more time capturing this bar - truly a shrine to individualism and free-thinking - in pictures and videos. I had to use some of the merchandise offered on their website in this montage. I hope to go back and soak up its unique atmosphere soon...and yes that is a car you see under part of the bar.
