Key West Lighthouse

The Key West Lighthouse was built in 1847. The present location is 14 feet above sea level. The tower is 86 feet high. The Light Keepers Quarters was built in 1887 and houses the museum's collection of lighthouse artifacts and the maritime history of the Keys. Visitors may climb the 88 steps to the top of the lighthouse for a spectacular view ofhte island and surounding waters.
