Since the only road in and out of Gibraltar goes across an active runway, it must be closed each time there is a landing or takeoff at the airport. The only road in and out of Gibraltar crosses the runway. There are boom gates on the runway that close off the main road when the 2 flights in and out in the morning and the 2 flights in and out in the evening are scheduled. Crazy stuff, but that's Gibraltar!
