Muslim chants coming from the Blue Mosque via loudspeakers. That was one of the most exotic things I have ever heard. Of course, these chants went on everyday, 5 times a day. But they never ceased to amaze me.

We were touring the 1000 year old church of San Minato al Monte when all of a sudden, we heard gregorian chants. We went downstairs to where they keep the bones of St. Minias and the monks were doing mass. It was a rare and wonderful experience.
