Before I could even get to the location Save the Children USA wanted to show me, I had to go on this overnight boat ride down one of Bangladesh's major rivers. After all the crashing/bumping that was going on at the docks was over, the journey was pretty much smooth sailing...

Barguna District (and the roads leading up to it) had some pretty badly damaged roads. Tons of massive potholes and missing chunks of road. This damaged was caused by (among other things) Cyclone Sidr that hit last November.

Cambodian Bumpy Roads

Approach through a thunderstorm on a Southwest flight from Birmingham to Omaha. This decent was in Kentucky to pick up more passengers. The sky gets so dark in the middle of the thundercloud that the colors on the wing can't be detected. This girl's scariest flight so far!
