The rapid pace of rehab and new construction in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood is bringing in its wake a growing number of upscale retailers. It's easy to miss them as you drive down the street, so be alert. We spotted one - Sensual Steps - that appeared to be worth a visit and stopped in.

This is not your ordinary house tour. But then, Celestial House, 3350 S. Calumet Ave in Bronzeville, is no ordinary renovation, and developer Bill Lavicka -- who's been called the "mayor of Jackson Boulevard" has no ordinary birthday parties. The home, which has been featured on HGTV, is currently for sale for $900,000.

She says she didn't give herself the moniker, and there's good reason to believe her. Tawnya is currently representing half a dozen new developments in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood. Watch the video, and learn about Bronzeville.

Not very long ago you would have had to leave Bronzeville to find an upscale sandwich shop. Today, Ain't She Sweet, 4532 S Cottage Grove Ave, is just one of several. We stopped in today for an impromptu visit.
