Just off the coast of Waianae, there's a bay with hundreds of yellow butterfly fish, one large sea turtle and scores of dolphins. Oh...and about 40 gawking tourists. And us. The dolphins are about three minutes into it...the camera is slightly off because...well it's our digital motion capture camera in a dispoable.... more

The Sea Turtles were right off the beach, the dilapidated old resort ended up being our favorite place to stay, our room was right on the rocks and there was a deep 'tidal pool' protected from the waves by rocks that offered our first Hawaiian snorkling experience. Over this last weekend (Presidents' Day), we skipped town for some fun in the (mostly) sun in the Yucatan where we visited Mayan ruins (Tulum) two water parks (Wet 'n' Wild with their oceanside Dolphin Experience and the excellent Xel-Ha with it's caves and snorkling), went on a jungle adventure through the mangroves.... more
