The Catholic Orphanage in Cam Ranh, Viet Nam

We visited the Catholic Orphanage outside of Cam Ranh in the winter of 2005. On the way there, we stopped to look at the fishermen in Cam Ranh Bay. Signs of flooding were everywhere; the only birds we came upon were the ducks at the orphanage, due to the avian flu outbreak. The children and the nuns at the orphanage were welcoming and warm.

In this brief video, we visit Dong Ba Thin, a former US Army Airfield during the "American War" in Vietnam. It is located on the mainland, opposite the peninsula of Cam Ranh Bay. Much of it remains under Vietnamese military control. Views, therefore, are from the outside from a distance.
