I was very lucky - I got to ride the Service Elevator over at the John Hancock center in Chicago, going down from the 94th floor.

Zhang Jia Jie in Hunan Province has this very high elevator that goes up the side of a cliff. Kinda scary!

Riding the Otis elevator at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami. Unlike the Intercont. in Atlanta, this hotel did not require keycards for the elevators :-D I love the "disappearing" indicator, which was very popular on Otis elevators from the 1970's.

Video of an old Dover elevator, resold by Southeastern Elevator. This thing has the loudest motor ever and also seemed to slip while going down, making me nervous enough to leave.
