Ride on the upper section of BLM over the Lauterbrunnen Valley. This narrow gauge ( 1 m; 3 ft 3 3⁄8 in ) electric mountain railway was opened in 1891. It provides connection between Grutschalp and Murren, climbing 147 metres over a 4 km stretch. This time I was travelling in an opposite direction: from Murren to Lauterbrunnen via Grutschalp. Weather was great. The funicular in the movie no longer exists - has been replaced with a cable car only recently.
