The Lufthansa jet, with 137 passengers onboard, struggled through the strong winds of a powerful winter storm to land at Hamburg Airport, Spiegel Online reported. After skidding along the runway and rocking violently, the pilot was forced to abort the landing. Later, all 137 passengers arrived safely.

A video of images taken from East Midlands(EGNX)and Manchester (EGCC) airports in Febuary and March 2007. The pictures were taken from various spots around the airports including the aeroparks and stood under the runway approach lights.

The Aeroplane coaster (aka: Airplane Coaster) was one of the most thrilling wooden coasters of all times. This wild wonder opened in 1928 and sadly closed in 1957 at Playland Amusement Park in Rye, NY. Very little video exist of this coaster so hold on tight for an intense ride! This clip came from a British news source that was popular during the early 20th century.

Watch the landing gear come down as plane approaches Bristol International Airport... The airport was officially opened in 1930 by HRH Prince George, during this period Bristol was only the third civil airport in the country. 1939 saw 4000 passengers through the airport but war broke out and the airport was requisitioned by the Air Ministry.

This plane was obviously trying to avoid the storm by flying low and not on the usual flight path. It was flying over the story bridge when it was almost struck by lightning as shown in the video. The plane then circled back over the city.
