Here we see 5029 Nunney Castle heading with the Bistol Explorer aka "The Bristolian" on 26/07/08. We first see Nunney passing Newton St Loe meadows for the first time since her latest major overhaul. On the return run 5029 is filmed climbing out of the not often seen east end of Box Tunnel.

More Golden Oldies as GWR Castle class 4-6-0 5029 and BR 4MT 2-6-4T 80080 head the WELSH MARCHES EXPRESS southbound on the North & West route from Shrewsbury to Newport. The Fireman of the Castle is obviously having trouble, as you can see before departure from Pontypool Road. Enjoy

The Elgar Explorer Return Leg Saturday 14 July 2001 (I think) 5029 Nunney Castle Moreton-in-Marsh

Following its visit to The Mid Hants Railway 5029 Nunney Castle returned home to Tyseley with The Mid Hants Explorer. The loco ran light and tender first from the yard at Ropley to Alton, and was attached to the back of the train which had come down from Solihull behind 47773.
